Hello! My name is Lakyn Gibson, and I am the founder and executive director of TMM. I founded the rescue in February 2025 after realizing our community had a great need for exotic animal rescue. I had been very active in local cat rescue with TNR and housing cats with special needs. With that knowledge and the help of a legal team, I set out to create the rescue you see here. However, my love for exotics began long ago as a small child. You could find me out catching bugs to study and release, finding frogs and toads, relocating a friendly snake, or snuggling up to my hamster. I have always been a fan of the creepy crawlies and the scaley critters, as well as the cute and snuggly ones. Now I advocate for them. TMM is a passion that blossomed into something so much more: a safe haven for all exotic species. Rescue them all, big and small!
